Available Scholarships:

🥊 The Ain’t Afraid Scholarship:
The Ain't Afraid Scholarship honors the talent and bravery of our longest camper-turned-volunteer Jessi Zazu. Through her musical projects from Those Darlins to her solo record, she was an incredible musician and activist who faced cancer head-on with positivity and bravery. She had a mystic mind, fast fingers, and the biggest heart of all. Has music ever helped you through a hard time and inspired you to face your fears? For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us how making or listening to music helps you tackle challenges head-on.

🌍 The Anna Fitzgerald Community Scholarship: Anna Fitzgerald, co-founder of Southern Girls Rock Camp and YEAH!, is a volunteer and community engagement expert who is passionate about empowering youth through music and giving back to their communities.  Living as a positive leader and example for others is as huge a part of YEAH! programming as learning more about how to play an instrument! For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us about how you use or want to use your creativity to help strengthen the community in which you live.

🌈 The Crisi Manley Inclusivity Scholarship: (ONLY for a student from LaVergne Middle or LaVergne High School or Rutherford County students/residents)  In memory of Christina "Crisi" Elizabeth Manley (Nov 17, 1981 - Aug 21, 2022). The Crisi Manley Inclusivity Scholarship honors the commitment and passion for inclusivity that long-time volunteer Crisi Manley shared with young people through her work as a beloved teacher and mentor at LaVergne Middle and High Schools. Crisi nurtured and inspired hundreds of students in the classroom and at camp sharing her love of music, math, fashion, and Drag Race. For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us what inclusivity means to you and why it is important in your life. * Please note, this scholarship offers registration and transportation funding.

🦋 The Claire and Vic’s Chrysalis Cohort Scholarship is both a celebration and an opportunity for a trans/nonbinary youth. It celebrates the incredible YEAH! community and helps keep its values vibrant by providing program participation to its recipient. Victor began their journey with YEAH! as a camper and returned as a teacher, where they met Claire. Both have experienced and been supported by the power of YEAH! camps, which was not only about learning how to play music, but also as a place to feel welcomed and encouraged no matter who you are. Claire and Vic hope this scholarship will serve as an investment towards the expansion and edification of you and our amazing community. For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us about how music has or you hope will help you develop comfort, strength, and courage to live an authentic life.

📚 The Courtney Vickers Education Scholarship - Courtney Vickers, co-founder of Southern Girls Rock Camp and YEAH!, is a teacher who is passionate about empowering youth through education in schools. For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us about how a teacher has opened a door for you or helped you express yourself.

🎛 The Kelley Anderson Gear Scholarship: Kelley Anderson, co-founder of Southern Girls Rock Camp and YEAH!, is an amazing musician who is passionate about empowering youth to understand and use gear and technology of all types to express themselves. For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us about how you currently use or want to use technology to express yourself.

🔍The Jeff (Ow!) Andrews Memorial ScholarshipJeff Andrews lived and breathed music. Whether he was delivering earth-shaking metal screams, writing unforgettable guitar riffs, or sharing his excitement for new bands, his passion was contagious. Though he never quite shook his stage fright, Jeff’s performances were legendary—full of energy, theatrics, and heart. He loved discovering and promoting new music, always eager to introduce others to sounds they had never heard before. This scholarship honors Jeff’s lifelong dedication to music by supporting a young musician who is ready to explore, create, and find their voice at YEAH! Rocks Music Camp. For this scholarship, in a minimum of 250 words, tell us about a musician you admire who expresses themselves with passion and confidence. How have they inspired you to take creative risks, explore new sounds, or find your way of expressing yourself through music?
