YEAH! is thrilled to announce that registration is now open for our "Gig Explorer" workshop series at YEAH! This unique program is designed for teenagers who are interested in exploring the music industry beyond picking up an instrument, providing hands-on skills and a deep dive into the world of music and media.
Gig Explorers Workshop Details:
Podcasting: Learn the art of audio engineering, podcast production, and how to distribute your own show. Dive into the world of music and storytelling through podcasts.
Vinyl DJing: Explore the skills behind DJing with vinyl records. From music curation to mastering the turntables, you'll discover the rich culture of DJing.
Broadcasting: Experience what it's like to work behind the mic! This workshop will cover everything from radio equipment to creating your own show, plus an opportunity to train with seasoned DJs at WXNA.
These workshops are taking place thanks to three crucial Nashville institutions for self-expression, cultural exploration, and community impact—WXNA, Vinyl Tap, and We Own This Town. By engaging with these spaces, participants will gain insight into the local cultural landscape and be part of a larger creative movement.
Each workshop is designed to provide teens ages 13 - 17 with the tools and knowledge to explore their creative passions and gain valuable industry insights. No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm!
